Business Frequently Asked Questions
Jump to a question:
How does the app work?
Businesses can sign up and offer shifts for our users to cover. We manage the. entire. onboarding and payment for our users. SHFTRs can then sign up to cover shifts at any of the businesses around them after they complete our onboarding process and any additional business specific trainings where applicable.
How much does the app cost? (Free to signup)
Our platform is only charged for shifts that are covered. We charge a pre-arranged hourly rate for shift coverages currently between $10-$22/hr. (Varies by state and locality)
Are SHFTRs your employees?
SHFTRs are independent contractors. We act as platform for businesses to offer their shifts, and give SHFTRs resources to help them succeed when using our app. This system also allows for SHFTRs to take ownership of their work and operate to the highest standards and build their personal brands.
What about training?
We offer a basic foundational training in our onboarding for SHFTRs, that runs them through areas like customer service, doing tasks, cleanliness in the workplace, working with different businesses and processes, rules and regulations, and general operation procedures. Any additional business specifics can be taught by you in a training session or by uploading material of your own.
What if I want to hire a SHFTR?
Our company was made to bridge the gap between businesses short on staff (both in the short term and long-term), and individuals seeking work, be it flexible work or new opportunities. If a business finds an employee through our app, we've helped our user secure a job, a business find reliable staff, and made earned our income in the time the SHFTR worked with the business through our app. So, for us, this is a win.
Plus, we are still there for that SHFTR to pick up other shifts whenever they wish to work elsewhere or make extra cash, and the business will still find us as a valuable resource for on demand shift coverage.
How can I trust SHFTRs?
Our users provide all the information they provide you when working for you. We however have added securities including, a rigorous vetting process, foundational training, and regular random criminal background checks.
Additionally, our users mostly come from other business partners who had vetting processes of their own for new hires.
Finally, our recruitment efforts are generally geared towards reliable users recruited on college campuses and existing employees seeking extra shifts.
What happens if the SHFTR doesn't show up?
We offer additional incentives to other SHFTRs at our own expense to find someone to take their place. We also do put a hold on that SHFTRs account to review the incident as shift fulfillment is essential to their contract when signing up.
What happens when problems arise?
Each user and SHFTR is assigned their personal point of contact that they may reach in allocated hours or general support staff at any other point. Our support team is in house and US based! We also have forms available for incidents along with last minute changes to report. We also are constantly releasing updates to streamline these processes and optimize your experience.
